There are several testosterone boosters currently on the market. Usually, these supplements use a blend of all natural extracts to increase luteinizing hormones. But BPI A-HD on the other hand, tries to achieve its effects by using aromatase and alpha reductase 5 inhibitors. These inhibitors function by blocking enzymatic functions that convert testosterone into other hormones like estrogen or DHT. Leaving the body with more testosterone to work with, BPI A-HD hopes to provide fuel for anabolic muscle growth and strength gains. These inhibitors have been put to good use in other products. BPI A-HD’s Formula
BPI A-HD has one of the most complicated brand labels we’ve looked at. Instead of using layman’s terms for any of their ingredients, everything is listed under their most confusing and complex chemical names. Companies usually do this for a couple of reasons: to look more credible, hide ineffective or unsafe ingredients, or to make simple ingredients look more cutting edge. As we researched BPI A-HD’s convoluted ingredients, we couldn’t find too much information.
4-[(E)-2-(3,5-Dimethoxyphenyl)ethenyl]phenol was one ingredient we could find some data on. This compound has been theorized to fight cancer, help lower cholesterol levels, inhibit diabetes, and prevent higher levels of fat. These effects all sound wonderful but they don’t seem to point to testosterone boosting or estrogen suppression. Not only that, this compound is still undergoing studies. So far no clinical research has indicated that it is effective in humans. If this compound is any indication of what BPI A-HD’s other ingredients are like, we suggest leaving this one alone.

Despite the fact that the ingredients we’ve been able to find info on don’t show to be very effective, many customers are singing BPI A-HD’s praises. It is consistently high rated and well reviewed by users over several websites. With such rave reviews, its very possible that some of the ingredients that are hiding behind complex chemistry names are actually proving to be effective. The positive customer response might be convincing to some but we would still recommend staying away from a product with so many mystery ingredients.
