Lit Up
Lit Up is a pre-workout supplement that is manufactured and marketed by the workout supply company Applied Nutriceuticals.
Because Applied Nutriceuticals has been known to produce some quality products in the past, we decided to research Lit Up a little more to see if it could live up to its company’s name.
What Does Lit Up Do?
According to its website, Lit Up includes ingredients that are supposed to be able to boost your levels of testosterone, allowing your body to generate more mass and get more out of your workout.
After looking at its label, we found Lit Up to have some fairly regular pre-workout supplement ingredients like beta alanine, adenosyl methionine and betaine HCL.
But these ingredients are only found in small amounts and it is actually D-aspartic acid that Lit Up hinges all of its success on. They claim that D-aspartic acid works with the producers of hormones in your body to spur the production of more testosterone.
What Does Lit Up Have Going For It?
From those who have used Lit Up in the past, most say that it has an enjoyable taste and isn’t chalky or grainy. However, some have complained that the Peach Tea flavor doesn’t taste strong enough.
This isn’t terribly worrisome, however, because these powders can easily be added to less and less water if you want the taste to be more profound. Simply remember to stay well hydrated while you workout so the ingredients will be able to be evenly distributed throughout your body.
Should I Try Lit Up?
Unfortunately, after researching D-aspartic acid, not only did we find that it is not capable of increasing your body’s supply of testosterone, but it is not even an essential amino acid.
This means that it will not be important in the process of creating new tissues within the body.
Because Lit Up doesn’t seem to have the right ingredients to help you gain mass and strength, nor does it seem to have the means to research its own ingredients, we don’t recommend this product.
